There was a minor upset when their close opponent SerbianSpartak (4-2) lost to first ranked Bosnian Bosna (3-3) in Sarajevo 57-72 on Saturday. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Bosna made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian forward Petar Kovacevic (203-2002) who led the winners and scored 16 points. American forward Jarrod West (182-1999, college: Louisville) accounted for 7 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Jamaican center Shevon Thompson (213-1993, college: GMU) came up with 10 points and 6 rebounds and Canadian Olivier Hanlan (193-1993, college: Boston Coll.) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively for Spartak in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Bosna have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 3-3 record, which they share with Crvena zvezda and FMP BG. Loser Spartak still keeps top position with two games lost. They share it with Cluj Napoca.
